Raiders of the Rainforest

Where do most viruses' kids catch in school come from? Jean-Michel Cousteau takes a group of American students onto a journey to the Rainforest to learn how potential viruses and cures are born in the Rainforest. The students learn how the destruction of the Rainforest is hurting scientific efforts to recover valuable cures. This same concept could be done about great medical discoveries of the coral reefs.

They say you can't change the weather but in this program kids learn how they can became part of the solution to reduce global warming. Jean Michel Cousteau takes a group of young students on a journey to Chile to see the impact on the country's animals from the depletion of the Ozone Layer. This final program explores how technology is impacting the next generation's awareness of the marine world. While the Internet may be isolating kids from experiencing nature firsthand, the internet also has the ability to unite and educate people globally. John-Michel Cousteau visits a classroom to show kids how his recent educational explorations in this series are motivating students from different parts of the world to get involved in experimental preservation. Communications experts, child psychologists, environmentalist and kids debate how technology impacts appreciation of nature.
