SYMON PRODUCTIONS is headed by two-time Emmy-award winning Writer/Producer Robyn Symon, with 25 years of broadcast experience both in front of and behind the camera.

Symon began her broadcasting career in Texas as a general assignment reporter for the NBC affiliate(KJAC-TV), the ABC station(KBMT-TV) and KLBJ in Austin covering breaking news and state politics for CBS News and the Associated Press, winning numerous awards for reporting and special series.

National Programming:
In 1993, Symon joined the staff of PBS based in Miami where she wrote produced and hosted the magazine series “New Florida”  which she repackaged for The Travel Channel for five seasons.

While at PBS Symon wrote and produced the acclaimed musical program “Boleros - Unforgettable Love Songs” hosted by Ricardo Montalban airing nationally on PBS stations featuring top Latin recording artists such as Celia Cruz, Cachao, Luis Miguel and Jose Feliciano.

In 2000, Symon wrote and produced "Living Positive "with Lou Diamond Phillips about the spread of AIDS among teens while working as a free-lance Special Projects producer for both NBC and FOX News.

In 2002, Symon was tapped to write and produce the Teaching Learning Network’s documentary series "Voices of Vision" hosted by NPR’s Scott Simon for PBS stations focusing on the work of non-profit organizations around the globe. She traveled from Africa exposing human rights violations against women to China investigating the impact of fast foods on the country’s healthcare system. She also wrote and produced the multi-platformed series "Health & Family" with Joy Philbin for cable TV and the Internet in the US and on CTV in Canada.

In 2007 Symon’s first indie documentary “Transformation: The Life and Legacy of Werner Erhard" premiered to a sellout audience at the Palm Beach Int’l Film Festival and broke the box office record for its premiere week at the Quad Cinema in New York. It was picked up for No. American distribution by Screen Media Films with foreign rights to Ocule Films.

Symon followed up with the indie documentary ”Hedy & Yumi: Crossing the Bridge” about a holocaust couple turned relationship experts who travel the world on a mission with their unique tools to transform the way couples and countries relate to each other.

Symon is currently in production on two projects, “SOMPOP!” about a two-time Nobel Peace Prize nominee who is on a mission to prevent girls from entering the sex trade in Thailand and “Grown Up Kids” about a pilot project to help child caregivers.
